SUMMARY:EcoWalk: Tree Reproduction in Pacific Spirit Park
DESCRIPTION:Come out for an educational\, forested Valentines weekend event in Pacific Spirit Park. We will learn how our native trees reproduce and spread their seeds. How most of our coniferous trees have both male and female parts\, allowing them to self-reproduce if need be. How some male trees can switch individual branches to have female reproductive parts. How trees fill the air with reproductive materials and seducing scents come the spring. We will discuss how counterintuitive and exceptional plant sex can be\, which makes us rethink any firm standards we place on human sexuality! Plant lovers and botany fans welcome! \nJoin us on Sunday\, February 15th from 10am – 12 noon \n18+ only please \nRSVP Here Space is limited! \nThis is a free walk\, however a donation to Pacific Spirit Park Society is encouraged! Help protect the trees we are learning about. You can donate online here or by cash in person. \nWalk location will be emailed out a few days before the walk.
