Pacific Spirit Park Society Stream Monitoring Walk

Krista will lead a 2 hour walk to visit 3 streams in the Park, 2 of which support salmon populations.  We will talk about stream restoration, salmon habitat assessment and water quality monitoring.  Please meet us at in the parking lot of University Hill Elementary School (5395 Chancellor BLVD).  The walk will be about 6 km and includes some steep sections. Interested in learning more about your local watershed and how you can protect urban salmon habitat?  Join the EcoWATCH Stream Water Quality Monitoring Team this fall. Each month we measure the chemical and physical qualities of Spanish Bank Stream using StreamKeepers Modules to ensure that it is healthy for Salmon spawning and rearing.  All training is done during the events.  Dress for the weather!  You can reserve your spot on MeetUp.
