Camosun Bog

Camosun Bog is accepting applications for their maintenance and monitoring team.  This dedicated group of volunteers will be mentored for 3-6 months in order to learn all about bog-plant identification, site-specific invasive plant removal techniques, bog water quality monitoring and the history of the Camosun Bog.  Applicants must be able to volunteer twice a month.

Invasive Plant Mapping

Apply to the Pacific Spirit Park Society Invasive Plant Mapping Team.   Members of the team meet each Saturday morning to map the distribution and abundance of invasive plants in the Park.  The program runs from October-April, with a training each fall.

Stream Water Quality Monitoring

Each month we measure the chemical and physical qualities of Spanish Bank Stream using StreamKeepers Modules to ensure that it is healthy for Salmon spawning and rearing.  All training is done during the events.  Dress for the weather!  You can reserve your spot on MeetUp.
